Fish - Camp - Fish

If you like to camp, Troutchasers can help you create a fun-filled weekend. Perhaps you're interested in canoeing, biking, and hiking opportunities, even shopping for authentic Amish furniture! Let me help you make your visit to Minnesota's Bluff Country interesting and educational . . . with a large helping of fly-fishing thrown in. The options are plentiful, and you can tailor the weekend to your liking.

Your Day?

Let's talk - the above are not pre-set "packages." They are just examples, and we will customize your day to make your time in the water fun and rewarding.

Your Guide - the "Troutchaser"

I'm Bob Trevis, given the nickname Troutchaser years ago. Although I caught my first trout in 1965, I focused on walleyes, bass and panfish until the early '80s. Then I discovered the challenges and wonder of fly-fishing . . . and I've been chasing after trout ever since. I encourage "Catch-and-Release", because many of the steams that we will fish have a relatively fragile trout population. (However, if you want to keep one or two trout for supper, I know of streams and ponds with higher populations that can stand some harvesting. Just let me know.)

I normally meet clients early in the morning and we spend 8 or more hours actually fishing - usually until it's too dark to tie on another fly! Troutchasers provides non-alcoholic beverages and a streamside lunch, and I spend my time working with you, not fishing with you. As an option, we can meet in the Rochester area, at a campground, or at a designated spot, and spend even more time fishing.
